If you are interested in volunteering for a 4-hour shift, please complete the “Volunteer Application and Background Check” available below and submit it to the Veterans Service Office for consideration. Note: You do not have to be a veteran to help serve veterans in this office. The “Volunteer Application and Background Check” is available below in the Portable Document Format (PDF). Volunteer Application and Background Check Why We Volunteer Please review our Volunteer Book. You will likely discover many familiar faces, as our volunteers come from within our own community. The Clay County Veterans Volunteers Program is now a well-established program that receives considerable praise as being the “model” for a Volunteer Program. The volunteers enjoy helping us serve our veteran population and we appreciate the enthusiasm they bring to our program. Participating in the Volunteers Program has been a gratifying experience for our volunteers.
