The Clay County Social
Services Department administers an array of services as established by
local, state, and federal law that promotes the protection, support,
and rehabilitation of families and individuals.
The department is responsible for administration of many
programs in the areas of Public Assistance, Child Support Collection
Enforcement, Child and Adult Protection, Long Term Care Consultation,
and services for persons with Developmental Disabilities/Related
Conditions, Mental Illness, Other Disabilities, and Chemical
Dependency. Clay County Social Services is committed to provide all services, financial aid and other benefits to all eligible persons without regard to race, color, national origin, sex, religion, age, political beliefs and disability. The agency is responsible to develop procedures for resolving service delivery discrimination complaints. Title IV of the Civil Rights Act of 1964 prohibits recipients of Federal dollars from denying people with limited English access to services.
