D.A.R.E.
was first taught by the Clay County Sheriff’s Office in 1990 in
the Hawley, Barnesville, Ulen-Hitterdal, and Dilworth-Glyndon-Felton
school districts. Deputies
teaching D.A.R.E spend several hours each week with the children over
the 17 weeks of the program. Today our department has passed on responsibility for teaching D.A.R.E. to several small town police departments. However, the Sheriff’s Office continues to teach the D.A.R.E. curriculum in the Glyndon and Ulen-Hitterdal districts. Instructors Sheriff
