Surveys

The Clay County Recorder’s Office began collecting surveys in 1991 when the county required a survey according to county ordinance.  The surveys can be viewed Monday - Friday from 8:00 a.m. - 4:30 p.m. in the Clay County Recorder’s Office.  Generally surveys are required when a document to transfer title is recorded which splits a current tax parcel.  If you need land surveyed, contact a local surveyor in Clay County, Becker County, Otter Tail County, Wilkin County or Cass County, ND.  The surveyor must be licensed in Minnesota to do surveys in Minnesota.
