Electronic Plat Upload Information

File Creation

A plat applicant or his/her agent must upload a copy of the plat in electronic format compatible with software in use by Clay County at the time of submittal and with the Fargo-Moorhead Metropolitan Council of Governments (MetroCOG) layering scheme. The computerized plat must be referenced as Clay County coordinates and provide a seamless edge match to the existing database.

Note:  Moorhead, Minnesota, City Code, Sections 11-3-2 and 11-3-3, require the submittal of plats in an electronic format.

Layering Scheme:

MetroCOG’s Layering Scheme (PDF:  326 KB / 12 pages)
(Available in the Portable Document Format (PDF) - to view and print the PDF version, you need the free Adobe® Acrobat® Reader software.)

An AutoCAD drawing file that contains all the appropriate layers is available here.
