Property Fraud Alert

According to the FBI, property and mortgage fraud is the fastest growing white-collar crime.  It can be as simple as someone recording a fraudulent document in the County Recorder’s Office so it appears someone else now owns your home or property.

The Clay County Recorder’s Office has teamed up with Fidlar Technologies to create a notification service to help alert property owners when a real estate document containing their name is recorded.  The notification could help protect against property fraud.  This service is only for Clay County real property owners.  There is a $10.00 set-up fee.

Use the Property Fraud Alert Application, available below, to have your Property Fraud Alert notification set up.  The application is available in the Portable Document Format (PDF). To view and print the PDF version, you need the free Adobe® Acrobat® Reader software.
