Clay County GIS Global Positioning System Base Station file information.

File Naming:  Each file is named using a CLAYYYYYMMDDHH.typ.exe format. CLAY is for Clay County, YYYY is the year, MM the month, DD the day of the month, HH is the start time of the data file in G.P.S. Time (24-hour format). The file type will be either ssf, dat, or rin.  All files are self extracting zip files.

Data Storage:  Data Files are normally available online for 90 days, after which they will be deleted.  Data older than 90 days may be available by contacting Clay County GIS at GIS@co.clay.mn.us.  Users are encouraged to download data as soon as practicable.  

Comments:  This base station collects data 24 hours per day.  A new file is started at midnight UTC time each day.  A new SSF file is started at midnight and noon UTC time each day.  Check the current UTC time!
