Clay County GIS - GIS Advanced Maps On-Line User Tools

	Legend/Layer List - switches between the legend / layer list in the right hand window.
	Overview Map – turns on and off the overview map in upper left corner.
	Zoom In – click and drag your mouse to form a box around the area you would like to zoom in to.
	Zoom Out - click and drag your mouse to form a box around the area you would like to zoom out to.
	Zoom to Full Extent – zooms to a view of the full map
	Back to Last Extent – zooms to the last area viewed.
	Pan – click and hold down the mouse, then move it in the direction you want to go.
	Identify – click on the point on the map you would like to know more about. Information will then be displayed at the bottom of the screen.
	Measure – clicking on the map allows the measurement of distances.
	Buffer – chooses items within a specified distance of selected items.
	Select by Rectangle – click and drag to select a single or group of items.
	Select by Line/Polygon – click to select.
	Clear Selection – clears selected items.
	Print – prints the view.

Please note: All of the map information that is displayed is delivered over the internet. Sometimes, the connection is lost and “Retrieving Map” will display for a long time. In this case, simply start over. Refresh / Reload on your web browser rarely works.
